IRENE'S POV The Alpha’s words echoed in my mind as I journeyed to the secluded location using the map he handed to me before I left. I was apprehensive with every step I took. For so long, I had wanted nothing more than to run from my bloodline. But now, after hearing the truth about my father, I realized that running was no longer an option. If I wanted to truly understand who I was, I had to confront the darkness within me. And maybe I could find some light in the process. The path led me deeper into the forest, far beyond where any pack members would dare to go. Everything about the place reminded me of how isolated this place truly was. But I didn’t feel scared. Not anymore. Eventually, I came across a small, weathered cabin tucked away in the shadows of the forest. It looked as though it hadn’t been touched in years, with vines creeping up the sides and the wood faded from exposure to the elements. This had to be the place. I checked the map again and it was it. The Alpha had told
