Irene'S POV
To me, Leon's presence at that time was like a beacon of light piercing through the dark, oppressive storm. In that moment, all the fear and helplessness that had gripped me began to melt away. Leon’s presence was powerful, commanding, like a mountain that nothing could move.
His gaze swept over the crowd of reporters, and as if by instinct, they parted for him, making a path as though they had no choice but to obey.
When Leon’s eyes met mine, the world seemed to slow down. He walked toward me with a steady, unwavering stride, and I felt a calm wash over me that I hadn’t felt earlier.
His hand found mine, firm and reassuring, and I clung to it as if it were a lifeline.
Leon subtly shifted, placing himself between me and the prying eyes of the reporters. His broad shoulders shielded me from the flashing cameras and the probing questions that felt like daggers. With him there, the noise faded into the background, and I could breathe again.
