Chapter 1 Take Off Her Oxygen Mask!

“Be quiet, and don’t look around when you get in. As long as you spend a night with Mr. Roberts on the bed for one night, you’ll get enough money to pay for your mother’s medical bills.” Before Madison Campbell could know anything, she was pushed into the room. The door to the clubhouse slammed shut behind her, and a tall stranger pressed her against the door. Madison could not see anything in the dark. All she could feel was the man’s hot breath that tickled the skin of her neck. A faint shadow of nervousness flashed across her teary eyes. However, Madison knew she could not resist since she needed the money for her mother. “Don’t cry. It’s not going to hurt.” In the dark, the man suddenly leaned forward, kissing her tears away. His breath was hot and ragged, but his actions were gentle. “As long as you are a good girl, I’ll give you everything you want.” The man’s deep, raspy voice sounded next to Madison’s ear. Trepidation seized her as she lowered her head and bit on the man’s shoulder out of the pain. In the dark, she could vaguely feel that the man put a ring on her finger. Eventually, the man dragged her deeper and deeper into the quagmire of desire. - As soon as dawn broke, Madison escaped from The Nyx despite her exhaustion. Not long after she was gone, a group of tall and muscular bodyguards in black suits sealed the entire building. On the top floor of The Nyx, two men knelt in fear before the man who had awakened. “Most apologies, Mr. Whitlock. We should have kept our guard up against Mr. Roberts. We’ll go get him for you right away…” “Let’s not talk about that first…” The man sitting on the sofa said as a dark glint flashed across his eyes, “I want you to find the woman who saved me last night first. I left my ring on her.” “Yes, sir!” As ordered, his men started to search around Jenova up and down for the woman. - A week later, in the hospital… “Here it is! That b*tch’s mother is here!” “How dare you lie to me, you little b*tch!? Go in now and take off her oxygen mask!” That was the first thing Madison heard when she returned with some warm water, a sharp and ear-grating voice. Her brain buzzed, and she hurriedly rushed into the ward. “What are you guys doing!? Stay away from my mother!” “Well, well, look who has finally decided to show up! She had to look for him and beg him to pay her mother’s medical bills. After all, that had been her first time. He had said that he would give her everything she wanted as long as she listened to him. “Get off me, b*tch!” Lily pushed her away, her eyes filled with disdain. Suddenly, she caught sight of something flashy from Madison’s collar. “What is that thing you’re wearing on your neck?” Before Madison could do anything, Lily stretched her arm forward and snatched the necklace from Madison’s neck. It was an obsidian diamond ring. “D*mn it! I can’t believe you’re keeping something like this for yourself!” “No… That’s mine, Aunt Lily. Give it back to me…” That man from The Nyx had given her that ring. Initially, she planned to pawn it so that she could get some money to pay for her mother’s medical bills. However, after what happened, the ring would be her only clue if she wanted to look for the man. “Bah, this ring is yours? Have you forgotten that we’re the ones who feed you and your mother? It’s us, the Petersons! We even helped you to pay for your mother’s medical bills for a week! Everything that belongs to you is mine! “Listen carefully, b*tch. I’m very glad to do you a favor!” Lily’s lips were trembling with anger as she stretched her arm forward, reaching out for Jasmine Peterson’s oxygen mask. When she was about to take the oxygen mask off Jasmine’s face, Madison shouted, “No—“ Suddenly, a deep voice sounded outside of the ward. “Who is Madison Campbell? My master wishes to see her.”
