Chapter 9
Jonah couldn't help but shudder as he looked at the deliveryman's hand. He still vividly remembered what happened the last time he received a parcel.
He retrieved the document, feeling it through the envelope. When he realized there was a small notebook inside, he finally signed it.
"Chelsea must've sent this to me. I knew she was still hung up on me," he mumbled, tearing open the document envelope.
However, he froze when he saw a piece of divorce certificate inside. "How could this be?"
Jonah tremblingly pulled out the divorce agreement, then collapsed onto the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.
In a frenzy, he rushed to his company's building, only to find that the towering sign that once bore the name "Sawyer Group" had, at some point, been replaced with "Nelson Group".
At that moment, a familiar voice pierced through the air. "Look—isn't that the old Sawyer Group's mighty CEO? Why is he acting like a tramp now?"
