Chapter 49 – Get Ready!

Jacob's warriors dragged another prisoner who had passed out from their beatings back to his cell. Raymond shook his head, unsure if he was impressed or concerned at how tight-lipped these men were and not giving them any information they tried to get out of them. "These men are either fiercely loyal, or they fear their Alpha more than you," Raymond pointed out. Jacob wiped the blood off his hands as he listened to his friend. He was not dignifying his accusation with an answer. Raymond crossed his arms over his chest, his black long-sleeve shirt stretching across his large muscles. His grey eyes looked at his Alpha with concern. "So, do you want to talk about what this is really about?"
