CHAPTER THIRTEEN
My eyes parted open slowly; I wanted to squint to make sure the sun wouldn't get into my eyes, but I realised the room was dark.
There was no way it would get into my eyes anyway because there was no sun.
"Where the hell am I?"
"Oh dear, you've been out for so long I was starting to think you weren't going to wake up." Alaric's cold voice rang through the dark room as fear ran through my blood.
"Alaric, what are you doing?"
"Why are you pretending not to know? You are so beautiful; it's so fucking annoying. Always whining like a little bitch, always giving me a hard time. Do you know how many media I had to block just so the world wouldn't see Mrs. Smith with another man?"
"I didn't ask you to do all that," I yelled back at Alaric, who paused; the light was switched on, but it was just a small bulb, highlighting the shadows more as it flickered in and out of darkness.
"I love you so much; that's why I did it all, Diana." His fingers rested on my face as I spat on his face.
