I didn't tell her where we were going, but I was surprised that she was following me obediently.
I didn't realize I was holding her hand again until she almost stumbled while looking at Grace, who looked like she had seen a ghost, and I pulled her up.
I helped her to her feet, and when we left the building, she pulled her hand away tactfully.
I stopped to look at her.
"Don't move an inch," she said, but it sounded like a command, and I obeyed.
"Okay ma'am,"
She looked at me, surprised, but she still maintained a smile.
She took three more steps before turning to face me.
"You can come now,"
I didn't know what she was trying to do, so I took a step and was in front of her.
She burst out laughing out loud, making me confused.
"What's funny?"
I asked gently.
"Do you know that it took me four good steps to get here, but it took you just one?"
