CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE : CRUEL FATE

BENSON GROUP OF COMPANIES, 2:49 PM ~GEORGE~ I never had the intention of going to work, but because of the contract my company just got awarded, I needed to be present at the office, and though it took me hours to dress up properly for work, I still managed to be at the office. Even a physically challenged man would know I was out of my mind. I spoke about meaningless things, called Mae's name several times, and, in fact, overheard my workers asking themselves if I was insane or not. I could only stare at the laptop in front of me without being able to operate on it or perform anything meaningful. My body was present at the office, but my mind was absent. A loud knock on the door jolted me back to reality, and my eyes landed on the table clock. It was a few minutes to three already. “Damn..” I mumbled under my breath. “Come in," I said loudly, and almost immediately, Grace came in with a file in her hand. “RAT corporations approved our proposal to partner with them for the cont
