Bethany knocked on the door again. "Jen, come on, let's talk. You can't just hide in there."
But all she got was silence.
Tears welled up in Bethany's eyes, spilling over despite her trying to hold them back. The more she understood Jenny, the more she felt Jenny's despair. However, there was nothing she could do to help her friend.
