ERIC'S POV "Rose told me some things that I didn't want to believe." I glanced at my mother. "Now you tell me, mom, how have you been treating her since she was still my wife?" "Why are you asking me such a nonsense question?" She gave me a bitter look and continued, "I knew it. Rose had brainwashed you, right?" "Can you just give me an answer to my question? Did you treat her badly?"  "How else was she supposed to be treated? Like a princess?"  "So that means she's telling the truth," I said in an inaudible tone.  "Oh, please, don't tell me you're considering making her your wife again."  I ignored that comment.  "Why, huh? Why did you have to treat her that way?"  She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms and glancing in a different direction. "That's rich.
