CHAPTER 28 FINGERS CROSSED

JADE’S POV “Don’t fall asleep” I keep telling myself as I lightly slap my cheek and yawn. I’ve been in the office from after seven up till ten forty-seven so I’m pretty tired right now but I can’t leave until I’m done with the seating arrangements for the gala which is tomorrow. When I was still all high and mighty, I heard about a lot of fights and rivalries among the elite class and all that information has come to good use now since I’ll know who and who not to place in a particular table to avoid any trouble. They’re other minor things I’ll be handling but that’s only during the course of the event so I’m pretty much focusing on this now since I’m done helping Mrs. Pat with the color patterns for the day.
