Chapter fifteen

BETRAYAL Ezra loved the feel of the harsh liquid down his throat. Tears were a luxury right now. If only he would cry it would help relieve this pressure that weighed him down, threatening to crush him. One month of misery and despair had passed since his son was taken. His only child, it has caused a rift to form between him and his wife who mostly stayed indoors wallowing in her sorrow, taking another gulp of alcohol he looked at his watch. It was time to work, the Alpha had offered to relieve him of his duties but he had refused, the last thing he needed was more time to drown in his misery. * At laywood HighSchool Aliyah had been reluctant to come to her graduation ceremony, Maxwell should be graduating today too but he was nowhere to be found thanks to her. She turned to Keshia smiling at her, at least someone was excited. Looking at the podium she admired how poised and composed Elijah looked as he gave his valedictorian speech. Their encounter did not change her feeling ab
