“You’ll regret it.” Leonica thought about Jamil’s words as she sat in front of her vanity mirror, taking off her make up for the day. But no matter the number of times she thought about it, Leonica really couldn’t tell what he meant. An obvious bluff, she thought. He had always been a person who liked to boast, especially when he knew he believed he had a trump card or two. Jamil, even back in high school, had been a confident one, he always acted as if he was better than everyone else, even if he wasn’t, which was the case for Leonica and as soon as he realized that, their once happy relationship went sour.
