Chapter 69: A Betrayal
Aria's POV
Chase was furious. He was seconds away from having steam spouting from his ears. Hannah was pretty riled up as well.
"Do not spread this rumor, Luke. I mean it, there are plenty of reasons why that was a sh*tty thing to do!" Chase shouted.
People started to focus on them. Luckily, there was no context.
"I won't, okay? I wasn't thinking to hurt Aria," Luke said. He looked genuinely upset by the situation. I didn't hate him for the rumor, but I was fairly pissed off. Not just with him but mostly with Izzy.
"How could you even believe her over me? Did you question it at all?" I asked, wanting to know if he really thought I was just a bad person. I had so much to explain, but I couldn't yet. He had the story all wrong, but, of course, Izzy spun it that way.
"I'm an idiot, okay?" he confessed, but it was not good enough. I wanted real answers.
Hannah walked up to him and slapped the back of his head.
