Chapter 40: A Tough Argument
**Chase's POV
I had been angry before, mostly for stupid reasons. I knew that. This time, I couldn't forgive my parents for the bullsh*t they pulled tonight. My mess-ups with Aria had been consistent. I was the worst, and she deserved better. I never expected my parents to be so cruel. My first expectation would be for them to just have ignored us.
After Aria left, my parents continued to yell and b*tch about my life. It would have affected me if they knew anything about my life. Emma had been with her friends all day long. I was glad she wasn't here, especially for this disaster. I texted her to tell her everything that had been happening.
"We know what is best for you. You don't," my mom said. I was done listening. No matter what I said or how I said it, she wasn't listening to me.
"I call bullsh*t on that. I can't believe you can even say that with a straight face. You aren't here most of the time, and when you are, you don't care what is going on in my life."
