CHAPTER FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY SIX – RETURNING MEMORIES
When they finally parted, both breathless, Marco rested his forehead against hers once more.
"I love you, Jasmine," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I love you, and I'm never going to forget that again."
Jasmine laughed through her tears. "I love you too, Marco. Always have, always will."
They sat there on the beach for hours, talking, laughing, crying. Marco's memories continued to return in waves – some crystal clear, others still hazy around the edges. But with each recollection, Jasmine could see the man she married emerging more fully.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky in brilliant oranges and pinks, Marco stood, pulling Jasmine to her feet.
"Dance with me," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Jasmine raised an eyebrow. "Here? Now? There's no music."
Marco grinned, the familiar expression sending a thrill through her. "We don't need music. Come on, humor me."
He pulled her close, one hand on her waist, the other clasping hers. They began to sway gently,
