CHAPTER FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY SEVEN – DEATH OF THE DON
Jasmine watched as Marco's expression shifted from joy to confusion, then to shock and finally, grief. The color drained from his face as he listened intently.
"Marco? What's wrong?" Jasmine asked, her heart racing.
Marco lowered the phone, his eyes wide with disbelief. "It's... it's my father. He's dead."
Jasmine gasped, covering her mouth. "Oh, Marco... I'm so sorry."
Marco seemed to be in a daze, struggling to process the news. "We need to go. Now."
As they rushed to change their flight arrangements, Jasmine's mind raced with questions and concerns. How had Don Cesaro died? What would this mean for the Cesaro family? For Marco?
