Chapter 86 Maisie's Doubt
The two-hour flight passed quickly.
Once off the plane, the four of them hopped into a private car headed for the hotel.
Maisie handled the check-in and returned promptly with key cards for three rooms. "Mind sharing a room with me, Cordelia?"
Her tone was gentle, with a hint of a smile, as if any previous tension between them hadn't existed.
Though Cordelia wasn't keen on rooming with Maisie, she knew sometimes one had to accommodate people one didn't particularly like.
"Sure."
Maisie distributed the key cards and said, "Let's head to our rooms and reconvene in half an hour."
Benedict had a suite on a higher floor, while Maisie and Richard's rooms were adjacent.
Once inside their room, they set down their luggage.
Maisie discreetly surveyed Cordelia's belongings, noting they were all rather cheap-looking.
If Benedict truly cared for her, why would he let her use such low-quality stuff?
