CHAPTER SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY NINE – BACK TO BASES
Back at the safehouse, Jasmine and Antonio gathered Marco's men around the large table in the living room. The mood was somber as they explained the latest development.
"So we're back to square one?" Sal asked, his voice tinged with frustration.
Jasmine shook her head. "Not quite. We know more now than we did before. We just need to look at the evidence from a new angle."
They spread out all the information they had gathered over the past few days - surveillance photos, witness statements, the list of addresses from the USB drive. Jasmine's eyes scanned over the familiar documents, searching for something, anything, they might have overlooked.
As the hours ticked by, the tension in the room grew. They were all exhausted, running on coffee and determination. Just as Jasmine was about to suggest they take a break, Antonio's voice cut through the quiet murmur of conversation.
"Wait a minute," he said, leaning forward to examine a photo more closely. "Look at this."
