CHAPTER SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY EIGHT – TENSION IN THE BAR
Jasmine's phone buzzed insistently, cutting through the tense silence that had settled over the safehouse. She glanced at the screen, her heart skipping a beat when she saw it was from one of Marco's trusted informants.
"Antonio," she called out, her voice tight with urgency. "We've got something."
Antonio was by her side in an instant, his eyes scanning the message over her shoulder. "A man bragging about shooting a high-profile target? Could be our guy."
Jasmine nodded, already reaching for her jacket. "It's worth checking out. Let's go."
They drove to the bar in silence, both lost in thought. Jasmine couldn't shake the feeling that this could be their big break. After days of dead ends and near misses, they desperately needed a win.
