Julie helped me out of the hospital. It was my final day in that sterile environment, and the overwhelming urge I felt was the thirst to uncover what had happened to my Father. Gregory was a wild man—I knew it. His every step had always been dubious.
"You need to rest," Julie said, sitting right beside me and looking into my eyes.
"You can't resume work now. You need time to recover. This can wait, can't it?" she asked worriedly.
"I'm okay. I'm actually fine. I can carry on. Just be ready to help if I need you urgently," I responded.
"You can never be defeated!"
I chuckled. She went downstairs. I locked myself in my home office and searched for any meaningful intel, but it was all futile.
I slapped the table, determined to get back at Gregory. He had ruined so much for me. He had killed my Father and refused to admit his guilt. He destroyed my marriage and left me to pick up the pieces by myself.
