JADE’S POV
I’m hurrying down the street now and still panicking as I check if he’s seen my message about being around a bus stop; it doesn’t look like he has, which worries me even more. His silence was worse than anything else. I rushed out here as soon as I could, but I wasn’t fast since my clueless friend insisted on dropping me off wherever I was heading. It took a whole lot to convince him that I would be fine on my own; it would be a whole lot worse if he had arrived with me, so he shouldn’t just scrape the idea earlier than he did.
I was officially the dumbest person ever in the history of stupid people. How the hell did I manage to sit motionless in front of the television for two consecutive hours without recognizing that something was amiss? What would have happened if he hadn’t asked me what I wanted? I don’t even want to think about that now; it would start the headache I was trying so hard to avoid. The show was good at all, but still, I should have been more careful
