(Author's POV) The days sluggishly were spent for Anna. Although she enjoyed her company with Oliver her mind remained occupied with Asher’s thoughts. It had been days since he had contacted her, making her wonder how bad the situation was back at his pack. Did something happen? What could be keeping him so busy? In the loneliness of her nights, she couldn't help but miss his touch and rugged body. The way he had licked her wounds and made love to her. She craved more of that, to be in his arms once again. At times it became laborious to push away his thoughts and work through her day. He was constantly on her mind like a lingering shadow.
