Chapter 2 Mr. Ancarrot

When Mr. Ancarrot came down, Viennel naturally lowered her head and stepped aside. Mr. Ancarrot was a real nobleman, one of the most distinguished people in Country A. Even the president had to be polite to him. Except for Viennel, everyone else respectfully bowed their heads and waited quietly for Mr. Ancarrot to leave. Accompanied by his bodyguards, Mr. Ancarrot walked into the McAllen Building. As he passed by Viennel, he paused for a moment. Viennel was puzzled and lifted her head. This would have been very disrespectful in the past, but it didn't matter anymore. Soon she wouldn't be a member of the Augumilans family, so she didn't have to worry about disgracing the family. Mr. Ancarrot was tall, a head taller than Viennel, who only reached his shoulder. To see him, she had to lift her head. "Good afternoon, esteemed Mr. Ancarrot!" Viennel said with a smile. Mr. Ancarrot remained silent for a moment and then said calmly, "Good afternoon, Mrs. Augumilans." "You can just call me Viennel, sir." The title Mrs. Augumilans was ironic. She hadn't even had a wedding with Morris. How could she deserve to be called Mrs. Augumilans? But she didn't want this disgusting title either. Whoever liked it could have it. Mr. Ancarrot's tone changed. "Good afternoon, Miss Viennel." Viennel liked this title. She wasn't anyone's appendage; she was just Viennel. Seeing them wanting to chat, Mr. Ancarrot's assistant whispered, "Sir, Mr. Anthony is already waiting for you." Mr. Ancarrot did have business to attend to. He said to Viennel, "It's a pity, I have something to do. Next time, I hope we can chat for a few more minutes, Miss Viennel. I'm very interested in the ideas you proposed at the public lecture at Saint Leons University." Viennel was taken aback, then smiled, "Thank you. If you're interested, I can email you my ideas." Mr. Ancarrot didn't refuse. "Looking forward to your email, Miss Viennel." Perhaps Mr. Ancarrot was just saying this casually, but for Viennel, it was a great encouragement. His words made Viennel realize that she shouldn't waste time here. Being a noble wife of a family was not Viennel's dream. Her dream was to stand on the international stage and speak for her country. Thinking of this, Viennel hurried back to Casa Manor. It was time to end this absurd marriage. Morris acted faster than her. Just as she arrived at the gate of Casa Manor, she saw two men who looked like lawyers waiting for her, with a confused Ade standing beside them. Viennel wasn't afraid at all; instead, she was a little excited. "Please come to the study with me." This wasn't her study; it was Morris'. But since Morris was hardly ever here, Viennel had changed it according to her own preferences. She usually handled documents here. "Where's your agreement? Where do I sign?" Viennel asked directly. She didn't want to waste time. The two lawyers were a little surprised. Why wasn't she crying and refusing to divorce, as they had imagined? "Here." The lawyer took out two already prepared and signed divorce agreements. Viennel glanced at them roughly and signed her name at the end. "When will I get my ten million?" This ten million was what Viennel deserved. She wasn't going to let those two jerks off cheaply. The lawyer made a phone call and then said to Viennel, "Miss Viennel, your money is ready. Besides, there's another property, not Casa Manor, but a duplex apartment in the downtown area." She didn't want it for nothing. Viennel's money had other uses; it couldn't be used to buy a house. She also knew why Morris wanted to give her money and a house: he was worried she would go to Mrs. Winfrey and complain. Thinking of Mrs. Winfrey, Viennel felt a little sad. Not being able to continue being with Mrs. Winfrey was probably her lifelong regret because Mrs. Winfrey had been very good to her. Otherwise, Viennel wouldn't have rashly married that scumbag Morris. The first time she met Mrs. Winfrey, Viennel had just lost her parents in a car accident. Mrs. Winfrey took care of Viennel like a mother and gave her a lot of advice, which benefited Viennel a lot. After getting to know each other, Mrs. Winfrey often invited Viennel to her house. Through this, Viennel met Morris. It had to be said that Morris was handsome and outstanding, and Viennel did like him. Unfortunately, Morris's heart wasn't with her. All along, Mrs. Winfrey thought not having a wedding was Viennel's idea because Viennel was still in school half a year ago, and having a wedding might have some impact on her. But only Viennel and Morris knew that not having a wedding was Morris's idea. He said he was too busy and didn't have time to prepare for a wedding. He would have a grand wedding when he had time. Viennel believed him, so she waited. She didn't necessarily have to have a grand wedding; as long as the two truly loved each other, it was enough. But now she realized that Morris wasn't too busy; he had someone else in his heart. Thinking about it, Morris was quite despicable. He didn't dare to resist his mother's arrangements and didn't dare to let his lover appear, only sneaking around behind his current... no, his former wife's back with his lover. Viennel changed out of her formal dress and gown, tidied her golden curls, and left Casa Manor with her luggage. Ade was shocked. "Madam, are you leaving?" Viennel smiled, "Mr. Ade, I'm no longer Mrs. Augumilans. Just now, I signed a divorce agreement. From now on, I'm no longer a member of the Augumilans family." Ade didn't want her to leave. "I'll call Mrs. Winfrey right now..." "Don't disturb her vacation." Viennel stopped him. "After she comes back, I'll explain to her myself. Now, Miss Viennel von Weng is leaving. Please accompany me to the gate, Mr. Ade." "Why did Mr. do this?" Ade didn't understand. "You're such an understanding person. Why does Mr. want to divorce you?" He regretted letting those two lawyers in. Viennel rolled her eyes, smiling, "Maybe he's tired of me and wants to see a new face. A popular star loved by everyone is definitely more interesting than me, a boring woman." After a moment of thought, Ade said, "I understand. I won't stop you. I hope you'll be happy in the future, Miss Viennel." Viennel nodded slightly. "I hope Mr. Ade can always be healthy and happy." She sneaked into Casa Manor and sneaked out again. It was the season of blooming roses, and the red roses in the manor were blooming beautifully, but Viennel, who liked roses, wouldn't come back to admire them.
