Cassidy was in a complete daze as she rode the elevator back down to her floor. She reached up and touched the spot where Jacob's lips had touched her skin. The area still tingled a bit and traveled throughout her entire body. Her thoughts were all over the place. There was no way she could return to her desk in this kind of condition. She was sure Mark had told others about her meeting with the CEO. If she returned to her desk acting like this, people would start to talk. Cassidy didn't want people gossiping about her. She got enough of that throughout her childhood, being raised without parents. There was only one place she could seek refuge until the cloudiness in her brain cleared.
