Chapter 102

From Emily's point of view As Owen pushed me down onto the grass, he pinned me beneath him and leaned in closer. I could feel his breath on my skin, and my heart rate began to race. I gripped the blades of grass tightly in my hands. I could see that his gaze was burning with an insatiable flame of longing, and at that moment, I wanted him just as badly. I tilted my head up to kiss him deeply. But then, just as we were lost in our sweet embrace, it began to rain.  The gentle patter of the raindrops only added to the romantic ambiance. I longed to prolong the moment, but Owen said, "We need to go back."  As he got up, I grabbed his collar and pulled him back down to me. I kissed him hard, rolling over to pin him down beneath me.
