Chapter 2

After a while, Meghan nodded her head. "How about that? My surprise finally worked and made you happy." "Okay, don't regret it." After saying this sentence, Samuel left without mercy. The door slammed shut. Meghan looked down at the divorce agreement that Samuel hadn't even given a glance. After a long time, she pulled her lips and finally smiled. Meghan Ruan, I, too, wish you a happy divorce, she thought to herself. That night, Meghan packed up everything. All she had was a suitcase. She didn't take any of the jewelry, bags, shoes and clothes that Samuel bought. After all, he didn't give them to her willingly. Now that she was divorcing Samuel, all of these were just flashy things with no meaning. For her, it didn't mean anything at all. When she left, Meghan looked at the divorce agreement on the coffee table and picked it up. Passing the dining room, Meghan looked at the dining table in the dark. The tableware in front of Samuel's seat were clean and had not been moved at all. This wedding anniversary was still as dispassionate as she imagined. But fortunately, it would be remembered as their divorce anniversary. When Samuel thought about it later, he might smile. It's probably the most satisfying thing she's done since their marriage. Sitting in a taxi, Meghan suddenly felt relieved when she looked at the scenery outside. The fake phoenix who has been a rich wife for three years will soon return to her slum. After learning that Meghan was going to get a divorce, as a good sister who empathized, Sara Pei cussed out Samuel passionately for ten minutes, and then said, "That jerk really didn't give you a single cent? He spends a lot of money when he goes outside to engage with young models, but he has the nerve to be so stingy with his wife?" "He's not stingy. I have already taken a lot of money from him in the past three years. It's actually good that he didn't ask me to pay him back." "You can't think like this, you are a husband and wife! His money is your money, and your money is still your money! Besides, he treats you like his personal whore for nothing every day! So what if you're going to use him for some money?" Meghan could feel her temple throb. "Can you choose your words carefully?" Sara calmed down. "I'm sorry, but I can't help myself at the moment." Meghan nestled on the sofa, unable to bear her feelings anymore, she said, "Today I filed for a divorce and the jerk actually asked me how much I wanted? He didn't even look at the divorce agreement, it was as if he was afraid I would bite off a huge chunk of his assets!" "Speaking of which, why do you want a divorce? Just stay with him and see who kills the other person first." Hearing this, Meghan calmed down again. "Oh, Maggie Shu is pregnant." Maggie was a well-known young model, and was very close to Samuel. Anyone with a discerning eye could see that their relationship was extraordinary. Meghan and Samuel had been married for three years. She knew how much Samuel hated her. Coming home to her twice a month was the most he could endure. Every time they made love with each other, she always felt like it was just a routine and that Samuel had no feelings for her. How could it hurt her? Maggie was not the first woman to appear next to Samuel, and Meghan didn't take it seriously. Until a week ago, when she was happily choosing gifts for the upcoming three-year anniversary of her wedding, Maggie suddenly appeared in front of her with a pregnancy test report and proudly announced, "I'm pregnant. It's time for you to drop your title as Mrs. Zhou." Upon seeing the pregnancy test report, all of Meghan's self-deception in the past three years has suddenly come back to bite her in the ass. She couldn't help but think about how she wanted to despise the woman in front of her, but she couldn't because the reason why she was able to marry Samuel in the first place was because she also used the child in her belly to force him into marrying her. She did the same, and that made Samuel feel sick. Now, it was just someone else reusing her original method. Sara was annoyed. "How could that be the same? You're married to Samuel and he was single, but that Maggie knew you existed and still dared to enter the scene. She's nothing but a shameless bimbo mistress!" "It doesn't matter, it's almost the same," Meghan said. "In fact, during the three years of being married to Samuel, I couldn't sleep well every night. No matter what, he was indeed forced to marry me at the beginning. Now that he's divorced, it's all good. I don't owe him anything anymore." Sara passionately insulted Samuel and Maggie for half an hour before taking Meghan, whose eyelids were starting to fall, to the bedroom. "You can just live with me. My boyfriend is not here anyway. This house is so big that I am afraid to live alone." Meghan yawned as she nodded. "Good night." The next afternoon, the divorce agreement appeared on Samuel's desk, and the signature at the end seemed to be baring its teeth and claws at him. Nash Lin looked at his boss's increasingly cold expression, stepped forward and said, "Mr. Zhou, I've confirmed with the servant at Xinghu Mansion just now. Your wife moved out last night. Except for her personal belongings, she didn't take anything else." Samuel closed the divorce agreement and threw it aside. "So she left the house and didn't take anything? Just what game is she playing this time?"
