Chapter 1

Happy third anniversary. I've prepared a surprise for you so come home early. You'll like it very much. After sending the text message, Meghan Ruan put down her mobile phone and went into the kitchen again. She turned down the fire on the stove and went to cut vegetables happily. It seemed that the message she sent fell into the abyss as usual. She was so used to not getting any replies, so the unanswered message did not affect her mood at all. The servant said, "Madam, let me help you." "No, you're busy. I want to cook a meal for him tonight." The servant said enviously, "The husband and wife are really in love." Meghan chuckled but did not answer. Was she deeply in love with Samuel Zhou? It wasn't so much an affection, it was more like acting and playing the part. At seven o'clock in the evening, Samuel arrived home and the servant left. Meghan had just finished setting up the dishes and chopsticks when the warm breath of the man behind her brushed past her skin. Her chin was pulled over and her lips were roughly blocked by the man. She was stunned for a moment and reached out to push him away. Samuel wrapped his arm on her waist as his long fingers pinched her chin. His black eyes slightly narrowed, and spurted words without warmth, "Didn't you ask me to come back just for this?" Meghan explained softly, "No, today is our third wedding anniversary. I really have a gift for you." Samuel let go of her, straightened out her slightly wrinkled shirt, and said faintly, "You don't have to give me a gift. After all, your surprises have never made me happy anyway." Meghan pulled the corner of her lips, turned around to enter the kitchen and didn't refute. Soon, the last dish was served on the table. Meghan sat opposite Samuel, poured red wine into his glass, and poured one for herself. She picked up her glass and said, "To celebrate our third wedding anniversary, cheers." Under the light, the man's facial features were beautiful. His jawline was refined and deep, the bridge of his nose was straight, and his thin lips were slightly pursed, indicating that he was not satisfied with the wedding anniversary dinner. Meghan smiled, not expecting him to respond to her. He just picked up the wine glass and drank it. After drinking, she continued to pour a second glass. Then another glass, and another. At last, Meghan got a little drunk. She lay down on the table and looked at the man whose face didn't change at all, her tone dragged a little longer, "Samuel, even today, can't you smile at me?" "What do you want me to do, go crazy with you, or spend this boring anniversary with you?" "How could it be boring? There are only a few anniversaries in life. Maybe after this, there won't be a next one." As if he had heard a joke, Samuel asked softly, "Will you drop it?" Meghan twirled the remaining liquid in the glass, her eyes were slightly moist under the soft light. "Maybe I will, maybe I won't." Samuel didn't want to waste any more time with her, so he got up and went upstairs. When he was about to untie his shirt, a pair of soft hands wrapped from behind him, and the overwhelming smell of wine came to him. Meghan said, "Don't worry, I haven't given my gift yet..." Samuel turned around, put his hands in his trousers pocket, and looked at her without saying a word. Meghan's cheeks turned red, and her eyes looked at him innocently, making him unable to take his eyes off of her. Even if he didn't want to admit it, the person in front of him was undoubtedly beautiful and has enough charm to move any man's heart. Otherwise, he would not have been tricked by her. Further down, her lips were stained with red wine, causing it to be vividly red. As the little hands got into his shirt, he raised her chin without hesitation and pressed his lips against hers, prying it open fiercely. Meghan was in pain and let out a cry. When she got to the bed, her vision became blurry, and her hands were hooked onto Samuel's neck. The man's hands supported her side, his eyes were hooked, silently mocking her. "Didn't you say you don't want to?" "Don't you know that sometimes, when a woman says she doesn't want to, she actually means the opposite?" Samuel sneered and gave her a kiss again. Meghan took the initiative tonight. Her teeth bit his lips, and the taste of blood filled their lips. This kiss was like a game, whoever wins could dominate the other party. Just when he was about to reach for the things in the bedside table, Meghan said without warning, "Samuel, let's divorce." The man hanging over her paused. "What did you say?" Even if Meghan knew that he heard her clearly, she still decided to repeat it, "Let's divorce." Samuel lost all his interest. He got up slowly and said in a cold voice, "How much do you want?" She was always like this, in order to ask for money, she pulls tricks one after another. "Not a cent." Meghan took out a divorce agreement from under the pillow. "You can have a look. If there's no problem, you can sign it." Samuel's face was gloomy. "Meghan, you better stop this. I don't have time to play such boring tricks with you." "Didn't I say I'd give you a surprise tonight? Doesn't this call for a celebration?" Samuel looked at her with a deep and expressionless face, and felt that the smile on her face was wavering. Meghan laughed. "Samuel, I wish you a happy divorce." Samuel's thin lips pursed, a few seconds later, he asked, "Are you serious?"
