Alec’s point of view.
The meeting soon began, and Killian and I did our best to guide the outcome in the direction we desired. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was playing the role of a traitor, sitting here and waiting to hear their decision regarding their movie funding. The people across from us studied every detail, and it felt like a moral battle within me.
After another fifteen minutes of discussion, the meeting concluded, and a decision was reached. Killian glanced over at me, a slight smile on his face.
"Well, 'Hearts Entwined' is set to be delayed then. We just have to hope no one else steps in to make a better offer for it," Killian said as he leaned back in his chair, hands behind his head, his gaze focused on me.
"I don't think they will, but if they do, we'll be forced to work faster and harder," I replied, hoping it wouldn't come to that. We just needed a little more time.
