Chapter 9 Stumble
After the call ended, Georgia frowned.
"Mom, two million is no small amount. Losing this sum could lead the current Navarro Creations to bankruptcy!"
"As long as you can marry Travis, how many times two million can you earn back?"
Polly raised an eyebrow.
"Georgia, if you want to live a good life, you can't focus on immediate loss. Compared to Navarro Creations, Travis deserves more of your attention."
Polly comforted her softly.
...
A black, extended Lincoln stopped at a winery, and the doorman respectfully approached to open the door.
The next moment, two elegant women stepped out of the car.
Nicole's wine-red long dress fluttered in the wind, and her exquisite features were breathtaking.
Sabrina, in a tight short skirt that accentuated her figure, exuded a sacred yet irresistible aura.
Two completely different styles stood harmoniously together.
As the two women walked into the winery, there were gasps around them.
This was a party organized by a senior figure in the industry, attended by influential figures.
Sabrina linked arms with Nicole, displaying a flawless smile.
"Are you sure that man will show up today?"
"Sabrina, my source of information is absolutely reliable!"
Conversations overlapped as business elites wore fake smiles and huddled together to whisper.
The moment Sabrina and Nicole entered, the entire hall paled in comparison, all eyes fixated on these two stunning women.
Among them was Travis, quietly sipping champagne in a corner.
"Travis, are you actually looking at a woman now?!"
Mark followed his gaze towards the door, then turned back to Travis in shock.
Travis raised his champagne, his gaze fixed on Sabrina, a hint of a mysterious smile playing on his lips.
"Don't you find her familiar?"
Mark was puzzled, following Travis's gaze.
He was surprised to see Sabrina from the airport!
Perhaps Travis's scrutiny was too obvious, Sabrina raised her eyes to the corner, meeting the gazes of the two men.
A seductive smile played on her lips.
He was indeed here.
"Nicole, I'll be right back."
Sabrina gracefully disentangled from Nicole's arm and walked towards the corner.
Watching Sabrina's elegant stride and slender legs, Mark's eyelids twitched.
He nudged Travis, "Travis, I think my spring is coming."
This was the epitome of a perfect goddess!
Just as Mark prepared himself for Sabrina to come over and strike up a conversation, she swerved and stopped in front of Travis.
Mark's smile froze on his face, looking incredulously at Sabrina.
Didn't he look better than Travis for flirting?
"Travis, care for a drink together?"
Sabrina picked up a glass of red wine from the table, and handed it to Travis.
Travis's eyes held a mysterious depth, concealing his thoughts.
With years of understanding his friend, Mark expected the woman to face consequences in the next second.
However, to his surprise, Travis accepted the glass.
Sabrina smiled and drank the wine in one gulp.
She took a step forward, closing the distance between her and Travis.
Mark tactfully stepped back but kept observing the situation.
"Travis, I have admired you for a long time."
Sabrina raised a smile, looking up at Travis.
A hint of darkness flashed in Travis's eyes as he rubbed the edge of the champagne glass.
The woman is telling lies.
Surprisingly, he is not repelled by the woman's behavior.
Instead, he is curious, eager to see what she is up to.
"Leroy, hurry!"
Zoya took quick steps and rushed upstairs.
Leroy followed his younger sister. "Coming."
The kids slipped into their study and mysteriously shut the door.
Leroy sat in front of the computer desk, with the others sitting around him.
"That man should be at the party too." Teresa said coldly.
She has not yet accepted Travis as her dad.
"Leroy, check the surveillance," Zoya urged.
Leroy's hands swiftly danced on the keyboard, and the screen quickly changed to the scene at the party.
Zoya got excited, quickly spotting Sabrina's location.
"Mommy is over there."
Leroy zoomed in on the image, and the kids gathered around.
"Travis, do you mind chatting with me?"
Sabrina intensified her efforts, her hand brushing past Travis.
The distance between the two was so close that a slight movement could lead to a touch.
They were like leaning against each other.
"What shall we talk about?"
Travis sized up the woman in front of him, able to smell a faint fragrance emanating from her body, a somewhat familiar scent.
"Anything."
Sabrina said with a graceful smile, her eyebrows exuding a certain charm.
Having made such a gesture, this man still remained indifferent.
Sabrina silently criticized within herself.
As a beauty making her intentions clear, she is surprised by the man's lack of response. Considering rumors that Travis is gay...
Travis gazed at her beautiful eyes.
Her eyes flickered with cunning, pondering something.
With a subtle nuance in his heart, he coldly said, "Tell me who you are."
"Forgive me for not introducing myself. Tiana. Pleasure to meet you,"
Sabrina said before extending her hand towards Travis.
Travis extended his hand, lightly touching Sabrina's fingertips.
"Be cautious, Travis!"
At the moment their fingertips touched, Sabrina grasped his hand.
With a slight force, she caused him to stumble and fall towards her.
