Chapter 10 Investigate
A waiter behind Travis, carrying a tray filled with wine, wore a grateful look towards Sabrina.
"Your way of shaking hands is quite unique."
Travis's deep eyes revealed a hint of playful smile.
As his cool fingertips lightly tapped her waist, he intensified his interest in the woman before him.
"I was merely concerned that he might bump into you."
Sabrina's lips curved into an impeccable smile as she released Travis's hand.
In the next moment, Travis raised an eyebrow as he glanced behind.
The waiter from earlier had long disappeared, freezing Sabrina's smile in an instant.
The atmosphere suddenly grew tense, and Sabrina felt embarrassed.
Although this was her intention, it seemed that the process was not quite as she had anticipated.
Would tomorrow's headline read, "A Bitch Boldly Makes Advances on Travis Blair at the Party"?
A flash of light, and Nicole quickly covered her phone, her heart trembling.
One of the most embarrassing things, forgetting to turn off the flash while taking a photo.
"Are you taking a picture?"
Mark raised an eyebrow, amused as he looked at the woman beside him.
If he wasn't mistaken, the woman had just taken a photo of Travis.
"No!"
Nicole froze for a moment, unable to face Mark.
She covered her face and hurriedly slipped away.
In her heart, she silently apologized, 'Sorry, Sabrina, I have to leave first! It's too embarrassing!'
Sabrina turned around to find Nicole for help, only to discover that she had disappeared.
She discreetly sent Nicole a message.
"Are you feeling guilty?"
Travis's face turned cold as he uttered, his fingers slowly unbuttoning his suit jacket.
Watching Travis's actions, Sabrina looked puzzled.
What was he doing?
Even if he was swayed by her beauty, did he really need to be so agitated?
Sabrina silently chanted to herself not to look.
She turned her face away, but couldn't resist stealing a glance, only to find that Travis had already stopped his movements.
Handing the wrinkled suit to the passing waiter, he was now left with only a black shirt.
Sabrina realized she had misunderstood, her ears turning red.
...
In front of the screen, the reactions of the kids varied.
Zoya covered her eyes, exclaiming that she couldn't bear to watch.
"Mummy, oh Mummy! Even though Daddy is handsome, can't you be a bit more reserved?!"
Leroy quietly rolled his eyes, silently muttering to himself.
Remember last time when you was also swayed by Daddy's charm, Zoya.
"He actually touched Mummy's waist!"
Teresa gripped the edge of the table, emitting a strong aura of aggression.
Seeing the table edge being distorted by her grip, Yusuf felt somewhat helpless.
He gently spoke up to defend Travis.
"It was Mummy who made the first move. It's quite normal for him to hold onto Mummy's waist for support."
"Mummy has left," Kevin reminded.
"It seems the party is coming to an end. Let's go downstairs. Mummy will be going home soon." Leroy quickly closed the computer, restoring everything to its original state.
The kids went downstairs to the living room, awaiting Sabrina's return.
"My darlings, Mummy is back!"
Sabrina opened the door, spreading her arms and calling out.
"Mummy!" Zoya was the first to jump into Sabrina's arms.
"Zoya, have you been well-behaved at home?"
"Yes," Zoya nodded vigorously, her mischievous gaze falling upon Sabrina.
"Is mommy planning to bring daddy back?"
Sabrina's face showed surprise as she looked at the kids all wearing the same questioning expression.
An exasperated expression crossed her face as she explained, "Of course not."
She wondered where these little ones got such fanciful ideas.
"But we all saw it! You even threw yourself into daddy's arms!"
Zoya pouted in defiance.
The older kids also nodded vigorously in agreement.
"That wasn't your daddy," Sabrina let go of Zoya, her face darkening.
"Leroy!"
"I asked you to behave at home, what are you all doing?"
Sabrina felt a headache coming on as it seemed that Leroy's innate skills were misplaced.
"We are just concerned about you."
Leroy hid behind the sofa, cheekily retorting.
Rubbing her temples, Sabrina suddenly spoke up.
"You are all too idle, it's time to send you to kindergarten."
"We don't want to go to class with those kids!"
Leroy quickly retorted, unwilling to go.
The kids all had an unprecedentedly unified expression on their faces.
"You are kids too," Sabrina sighed as she ruffled Leroy's hair.
"In any case, we won't go."
The next day.
"What is this?"
Polly's hand holding the newspaper tightened, her sharp nails digging into her flesh.
She had no appetite for the breakfast laid out before her.
Georgia picked up the newspaper and saw the enlarged picture on the front page, her pupils shrinking instantly.
The photo was taken at last night's party, to which they had no right to attend.
Travis's face was very clear in the picture as he held a woman in his arms.
The woman's back was facing the camera, only revealing the back of her head, making her face unidentifiable.
The headline above the picture was enough to make Georgia see red.
"Travis's Girlfriend with an Unknown Identity."
Polly took a deep breath, her face darkening.
"Did the detective agency make contact? Have them investigate this mysterious woman."
"Your opportunity must not be taken away by anyone!"
"I understand, mom," Georgia said, glaring at the woman's back in the newspaper, her teeth clenched.
An hour later, Georgia arrived at the designated location.
"Georgia, hello, I am the person in charge of your order, Tiana."
Sabrina greeted Georgia, a hint of resentment flashing in her eyes hidden behind sunglasses.
Georgia looked at the woman before her, wearing a mask and large sunglasses on such a day. "Tiana, do you need to dress like this indoors?" Georgia asked tentatively.
Sabrina chuckled lightly, "People in our line of work don't like to show our faces, please understand."
Georgia dispelled her doubts.
"What can I do for you?" Sabrina asked.
Georgia's face changed slightly.
She took out her phone from her bag, pulled up the picture from the newspaper, and handed it to Sabrina.
"I want you to investigate this woman for me."
Sabrina raised an eyebrow as she glanced at the photo.
"This is not related to the order you previously placed with our agency."
