448: MY ATTENTION

ARIEL'S POV I watched Harriet from a distance; a knot formed in my stomach. What the hell was I witnessing right now? Was I just imagining things? Or was she really here at the hospital? If so, what was she doing here? My mind raced with questions, each one more unsettling than the last. Harriet pulled the hood of her black hoodie over her head, her movements deliberate and purposeful. Our eyes met briefly, and then she turned away, disappearing into the throng of people moving through the hospital corridors. I stood frozen in place, unsure of what to do next. I think it would be best that I confronted her. What the hell was going on here? I started to walk in the direction she had gone, my eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of her. But she seemed to have vanished into thin air. I searched the hospital corridors, peeking into rooms and glancing around corners, but there was no trace of Harriet. It was as if she had simply disappeared. A shiver ran down my spine as I entertaine
