Astrid's POV "You are leaving?" I couldn't hide the shock that I felt the minute that I saw Xavier with a packed bag. He looked slightly guilty to have been caught out by me and he flushed slightly before facing me. "Yes. I need to talk to my Dad." Surely my ears must have been receiving me because there was no way that Xavier was intending to return to the man that had promised to kill him if he did. "What are you saying?" I asked Xavier. "Alpha Finn said he would execute you if you crossed the boundary to his pack land again." If Xavier didn't remember what his father said, I would remind him. To my growing surprise, he didn't seem bothered. Instead he shrugged almost casually. "No matter what he says, he is still my father and I am still his only child.
