Astrid's POV Xavier took a step towards me and I took a step back. This step pushed me up against the wall so that there was no possible way of escape for me. My heart leapt to my chest and I silently cursed myself for letting my guard down. "Xavier, please don't do this," I begged him. I hadn't forgiven him for the swamp or the past but if he did this, if he did this then there was no way I would ever. So I silently begged him not to break my trust again. Xavier closed the distance between us and to my surprise snatched up the phone from the top of the desk. He bared his teeth at his father almost menacingly. "I am not your puppet. So no, I will not do as you command." Xavier told him. Alpha Finn seemed as shocked as I was that his son was taking my side. "Do you know what you are doing?" He asked Xavier after a few minutes.
