Chapter 4
Reilley's POV
"Should I tell the dean about it then?" I asked. Silence filled the room. I awkwardly look at the three guys staring at me weirdly. "What?" I arched my brows. Did I say something wrong?
I winced when Leo suddenly burst into laughter. Okay?
"Hahaha! You're so cute Reilley!" he laughed. I frowned at him. What's so funny?
"Why?" I asked innocently.
"You really are a freshman," he commented. My brows furrowed. Yes, I am and so what? "You haven't heard the name Deavon?" he asked. I shook my head.
"Am I supposed to know him?" I didn't want to put a shade in my tone but it kind of ended up that way. "Look I don't really care if he's popular or what. He threw a ball on my face and if that's not enough to bring him in front of the dean then I don't know what," I told them fiercely.
He might be rich to get his ass in this prestigious school but that doesn't give him the right to bully me in my first day in college as a scholar. My nose still hurts.
"You're brave for your size," the slicked back guy said. He looked at me amusedly and I just ignored him. What the hell are they all doing in here anyway?
"I really appreciate you all gathering in here," I said sarcastically. "But I'm afraid I'll need the room all by myself. I have to put my stuffs away."
They stare at each for a few seconds before walking out of the room. I was about to close the door when Luke used his hand to block the door.
"Yes?" I asked, astounded. He stared at me before opening his mouth to speak.
"Request for your dorm relocation immediately," he says. My brows raised. Okay? "Just a friendly advice." He smiled and left. I watched him walked away.
"Weirdo."
I wasn't expecting for my first day to be like this. Getting thrown on the face with a ball and passing out in the middle of the busy hallway? Not the most ideal first day, huh?
I scanned the room. It's quite spacious actually. We have twin size beds and built in closets. We both have our own windows and little study space. I like that we have our own bathroom. At least, I don't have to share showers with tons of people.
I grabbed my bags and put them on my bed. I noticed that there are personal things on the other side of the room already. Must be Deavon's? What a weird name. Sounds like a demon.
It has been only a few hours but I missed my family already. So I called my mom but didn't mention anything about being hit by a ball, cause I didn't want her to worry about me.
Then Eunice grabbed the phone and we had a long talk. I didn't want to end the call but I have to go out and talk to Miss Cuentory. I'm sure that those three took me here so they could save their friend's ass from punishment. Well sorry but he's not a king.
My observant self noticed some of the students looking at me like I've done something godly. The hell is wrong with them? I stared at my outfit. Is a plain yellow T-shirt and khaki pants paired with black shoes out of fashion nowadays? Well I don't care.
"Good morning, Ma'am. I'm sorry something came up and I wasn't able to meet you earlier," I greeted. The tall woman lifted her head. Her bright red lipstick shines before my eyes.
"It's alright. You can have a seat," she offers.
I sat on the chair just beside her desk and waited silently. For some reason, I already have my keys. But I still need to get my schedule and some other stuffs.
"I heard about what happened to you," she starts. My eyes twinkled. What she said is music to my ears. I knew that I didn't have to say it myself. Of course, this university is not prestigious for nothing. They must have tons of cameras in here and saw what happened to me.
Great! It seemed that the dean had already known his bully thing. He deserved a severe punishment!
"I apologized on behalf of mister Deavon Ardiante," she says. I smiled politely and shook my head.
"It's okay, Ma'am." I'm trying to sound humble so she'd punish him worse. I can't wait for his punishment. What he did to me is not just rude, it is also harassment and he did it in public. What kind of human being would do that?
"Thank you for your kind understanding. Anyway, Leo asked for your dorm keys already so I believe you already have it with you?" She changed the topic. What about his punishment?
"Yes, Ma'am."
What the hell? What about the punishment? I wanted to ask about it again, but she continued.
"Here is your schedule. You can grab your books and laptop here tomorrow. Classes will start next week. Please attend the school orientation tomorrow." She smiled.
Okay? So what about Deavon? She's just going to let that pass?
I really couldn't let it go so easily. I jumped to my feet emotionally. "Ma'am..." I was about to open that topic to her when the telephone rang. She immediately grab it and put it on her ear.
"Hello? Yes, sir."
"Yes, sir."
"Okay, sir."
I watched her talked to the caller. She looked at me and prompted me to leave. I frowned. What the hell? I get that she's too young to be a dean but isn't it just unfair to let that incident pass? That's punishable of suspension.
I stand hesitantly and leave.
"The hell," I mumbled. I snarled and just walked to the cafeteria. I need to get myself some food.
The place is crowded. I see different groups of people eating on their tables. There are emo’s, nerds, cheerleaders, preps and even gays like me. Where will I find myself a sit here?
"Get off me!" a deep voice yelled from a far.
The crowd started running to the circle of people watching. Somebody fighting?
"I said get off me you faggot!" he yelled again. My heart jumped when I heard a loud bang. Okay? What the hell was that? I looked at them again but they were just watching and taking videos.
These people are hopeless. They're not even helping.
I was about to my mind my own business when a man divided the crowd in two. His stormy eyes met mine. He is so familiar. I winced when he smirked at me.
