Chapter 5

Reilley's POV This can't be. What a freaking small world. I can't believe he studies in here too. My pupils dilated when I saw him walking towards me. Did he recognized me? Oh no. This is not good. Behind that gorgeous face is a demon with a nasty temper. "You're Lannes?" His deep voice made my body shiver. I lifted my head to look at him. Gawd! He's so freaking tall. He's literally towering me right now. But what? How did he know my name? My lips parted when I realized who's standing in front of me right now. He's not just the same guy who almost killed me with a car, he's also the guy who threw a ball on my face! "What? You can't talk?" he slurred. I snapped out of my thoughts and give him a glare. Yes. A glare my friends. You read it just right. He thinks he can talk to me casually after what he has done to me and my sister? Geez. I need to give him a piece of my mind. "Hey! You nasty ass demon," I called making everyone gasped. "You have the audacity to approach me after throwing a ball on my face?" His eyes remained blank and dead. What the fuck? Is he a robot or something. "You think you'll get away with everything just because of your money?" I blurted. His eyes darkened. I suddenly felt scared because of his face. His eyes were still the same but you can tell that he didn't like what I've just said. Too bad I've said it already. My ears twitched when I heard the students gossiping like crazy. I turned my head to look at them. They're all watching us and taking videos. A realization suddenly hits me. I'm so dead once the higher ups learns about this. They might withdraw my scholarship because of the scene I'm making. "I was asking you nicely," he said in a cold voice. I looked at him just to his lips forming a diabolic smirk. What the hell is so funny? "You're tough for your size." What? Why is he saying the same thing that Trevor told me. "What? Are you intimidated now? Does your big built didn't help your small balls?" I taunted. I know that I'll regret this nasty mouth of mine soon but I can't stop my blood from boiling. Why does he act so high and mighty? Geez. His jaw clenched. I stepped back when he raised his closed fist. "That's enough, Deavon." A guy pops out of nowhere and block himself to protect me. I lifted my head to look at him and my eyes widened when I saw the brown haired guy earlier. I think his name is Trevor. He glanced at me and sheepishly looked away. "Mind your own business," Deavon growled to him. He's so mad. This is my fault. I shouldn't have anger him. I didn't know that he could be this warfreak despite the fact that I'm on the right side and he isn't. Is it so hard to say sorry? He's so freaking annoying. "He's new. He knows nothing so please calm down man," he said. I don't know what he's talking about. Did I say something that triggered him? I mean... I usually diss those people who have wronged me and I think I deserved to do that to them but did I crossed a line? And why are they all acting scared of him. He's just a man. "Let's go," Luke whispers to me. As much as I don't want to go with him for I just met him a while ago, I also don't want to stay while Deavon is looking all mad and angry to punch my face. He's scary. "What was that?" I blurted. We're already outside of the building. Luke literally have to escort me out because Deavon's glaring eyes were still chasing me. Compare to his other two friends, he seem to handle this situation more calmly. "I'm sorry," he said and smiled. What? That's it? Sorry? I clicked my tongue. "I want to hear that word form your friend not from you. He has the audacity to get angry when he's the one who started this," I ranted. He looked at me amusedly. "What?" I blurted. "You're cute," he commented. My cheeks heated from the sudden compliment. I looked away and try to stop my face from turning red. "I've never seen such a beautiful guy before," he said and sat on the bench. I distracted myself by watching the students playing on the soccer field. No one has ever say those things to me. Hearing them come out of a handsome guy makes me blush. "What do you think you're saying." I tried to sound pissed but I ended up cracking my voice in the end. He chuckled and pat the vacant seat beside him. If I don't take that seat he'll think that I'm getting awkward. No! I won't let him think of me that way. I heaved a sigh and sit beside him. His perfume lingers in my nose. I lifted my head to look at him. He's staring at the field now. Watching the free students play and fool around. "Is that why you told me to have my room relocated?" I asked. He nodded his head slowly. He reminds me of my neighbor but the main difference is that my neighbor is annoying but he isn't. Luke is pretty silent and acts introverted despite the fact that tons of students who are walking passed us are turning their heads just to look at him. How did he end up being friends with a guy like Deavon? "Did you do what I told you to do though," he said. I bite my lower lip and shake my head. I thought he wasn't serious. "What is wrong with him?" I asked, referring to Deavon. From what I know, his full name is Deavon Ardiante. But I really have no idea who the hell is he. Wait... Ardiante? Oh my gosh. "I think you realized now," he commented and looked at me. His blue eyes captured my attention immediately. His eyes are gorgeous. "Deavon is indeed the only son of Governor Ardiante." He smiles. My pupils turned small. This can't be. He is the Governor's son? What? "Then why is he acting like he owns the school? He should act humble for his father's sake!" I blurted. His brows arched. He looked like he wasn't expecting me to say what I've just said. "What? Did I say something wrong again?" I asked. He blinked his eyes and chuckled. "No. It's just that I was expecting you to say that's he's powerful like anybody else." I frowned. "He's not the powerful one. It's his father." I rolled my eyes. He can't act like that just because his father has a name. Is that why the dean pretended to not hear me? He needs to learn his lesson.
