Chapter 6 You'd Better Show Some Respect To My People
Jeffery looked at Kenneth in disbelief as the wine trickled down his cheeks.
The two secretaries next to Jeffrey opened their mouths wide in shock and stood up at once.
Both of them were shivering.
Kenneth warned tonelessly, "You'd better show some respect to my people."
Jeffery looked stiff.
Kenneth stood up slowly. He tidied up the collar of his suit and looked at Jeffery condescendingly, "This is the end of our cooperation, and we won't cooperate in the future."
Natalie also stood up, carrying the briefcase.
Kenneth walked away, and she followed.
"Mr. Hussain, wait!" Jeffery realized that what a terrible mess he had made.
By the time Jeffery chased out, Kenneth was long gone.
Jeffery cursed and angrily said, "It's just a woman. So the rumor is true."
At the beginning of his cooperation with Kenneth, he had inquired, and he was told not to provoke the secretary of Kenneth.
He had thought it was a joke, but it turned out to be true.
In his opinion, the two companies had reached a consensus on preliminary cooperation, which was definitely a sure thing.
Moreover, he had coveted Natalie for a long time. After drinking a little more, he got carried away and spoke out his mind.
Then Kenneth was furious.
"Why are you still standing here? Find a way to remedy it quickly!" Jeffery yelled at the two secretaries.
The two secretaries trembled with fear.
One of them suggested, "Mr. Evens, it's said that Mr. Hussain's father has arranged a marriage for him. Why don't you go to have a talk with his fiancee?"
Fiancee?
Jeffery had never heard of this.
If Kenneth did have a fiancee, it would be easy to handle.
"Go and investigate the identity of his fiancee. I will handle this matter myself." Jeffery pulled his tie.
"Yes." The two secretaries went out at once.
——
In the Maibakh.
Natalie handed Kenneth a tissue and asked him to wipe his hand.
Kenneth took it and wiped the red wine off his hand.
"Mr. Hussain, are you really not cooperating with Jeffery?" Natalie asked uncertainly.
"He said that about you. How can you still want me to cooperate with him?" Kenneth sarcastically said, "He doesn't even respect women. Don't expect such a person to be clean in business."
"So you didn't do it for me, but for work?" Natalie breathed a sigh of relief instantly.
If Kenneth did it for her, she would be burdened.
Kenneth asked coldly, "Why do you think I didn't do it for you?"
Natalie explained, "I'm not worth it."
She was just a little secretary.
"Natalie, is your head a decoration?" Kenneth's face darkened.
Natalie didn't expect to be scolded.
Kenneth tossed the tissue aside and drove away.
The atmosphere was cold in the car, and Natalie did not dare to say anything more.
Half an hour later.
They arrived at the company.
A staff of the CEO's Office told Natalie that Kenneth's father was here with Debra.
Natalie put down her cell phone and reported to Kenneth, who was walking into the elevator, "Mr. Hussain, your father and Debra are waiting for you in the reception room."
Kenneth replied indifferently, "Leave them alone."
"Okay." Natalie nodded.
They arrived the top floor.
Kenneth and Natalie get out of the elevator.
Unexpectedly, Kenneth's father, Emilio Hussain, was standing at the elevator door.
"You're back." Emilio looked serious. "Why didn't you answer my phone?"
"I've been busy." Kenneth replied coldly.
Emilio looked at Natalie and criticized, "What the hell is going on with you as a secretary?"
When Natalie was about to answer,
Kenneth interrupted, "I don't want to meet you. Why do you scold her?"
Natalie didn't know what to say for a while.
Emilio questioned in a rage, "She is your secretary and I am your father. What's wrong with me scolding her?"
"No way. She's my staff, so only I can scold her."
Natalie looked at Kenneth.
He was so overbearing.
Please!
Emilio took a deep breath. He remembered that now was not the time to quarrel.
"Debra has been waiting for you for a long time." Emilio took Kenneth and walked to the reception room. "Go and have a look."
Kenneth's eyes were cold.
Natalie put the briefcase on her seat and followed in.
In the reception room.
Debra was wearing a Chanel suit and her hair was tied up into a bun, which was a typical style of rich ladies.
"Mr. Hussain." Debra immediately stood up when she saw Kenneth. Her face was full of shyness. "Nice to meet you again. The last time we met was my 18th birthday. Do you remember?"
"I don't remember." Kenneth looked cold.
"Well, I contacted your secretary, but she ignored me." Debra looked at Natalie behind Kenneth with a cold smile.
It seemed to be a narrative, but it was actually a complaint.
"Natalie, what's the matter with you?" Emilio yelled at Natalie, "How dare you stop Debra from meeting Kenneth? What's your intention?"
Natalie didn't speak.
"Listen up, you are a damn secretary. To put it in another way, you are a maid." Emilio meant to show his majesty in front of Debra.
He didn't want outsiders to say that he had no place in the Labyrinth Coms.
Natalie was working for Kenneth, and scolding her was the same as scolding Kenneth, while it wouldn't make Kenneth feel embarrassed.
And he knew that Kenneth wanted to buy the Cliff Corporation, and Debra must have contacted Natalie about it.
Kenneth would definitely be angry because Natalie didn't report.
That was why Emilio scolded Natalie.
Besides, even if Kenneth meant it, he couldn't say it in front of Debra.
Natalie was not a fool either. She knew exactly what was on Emilio's mind.
She couldn't betray Kenneth, so she had to take the blame herself.
"Miss Walsh, do you have the decision-making power in the Cliff Corporation?" Kenneth asked coldly.
"Of course I have." Debra smiled charmingly, "Mr. Hussain, you don't know that. My grandfather..."
"I'm buying your Cliff Corporation for three billion now. Can you sign it now?" Kenneth asked again.
"Well..." Debra hesitated. "It's such a big thing. I need to ask my grandfather."
"You said you had the decision-making power." Kenneth reminded coldly.
Debra was embarrassed.
"It's me who asked Natalie not to communicate with you." Kenneth said it directly, "Every decision of the Labyrinth Coms is made by me personally, and I don't need to ask anyone."
As he said, he cast a cold glance at Emilio.
"Our identities are not equal. Ask your grandfather to talk to me. I don't want to waste my breath with you."
After saying that, Kenneth turned and walked towards the office.
