Chapter 5 You Must Have Been Tired of Her
Natalie had no idea why she was so charming to be liked by a younger man.
"Isaac, listen. I've always thought of you as my younger brother." Natalie explained, "So you know that."
"What should I know?" Isaac stepped forward and asked, "Don't you like guys like me?"
Natalie frowned, "Guys like you?"
"If you don't like sweet boyfriend, I can become manly, as long as you like me." Isaac looked Natalie sincerely.
His eyes were earnest and passionate.
If it were someone else, she would have been unable to refuse.
However, Natalie sighed and told Isaac, "You are right. I don't like you. I like mature, gentle and elegant men who look very learned. You are not my tea, so I'm sorry."
After saying that, Natalie got into the elevator and left.
If she didn't leave, Isaac might continue to pester her.
If she was late for work, her full attendance bonus would be docked.
She couldn't lose money.
As soon as Natalie arrived at the company,
Kenneth asked her to go to his office.
"You were late." Kenneth's eyes were cold.
Natalie checked the time and replied, "No. I clocked in one minute before the deadline."
"You usually clock in three minutes before that." Kenneth looked at her.
Natalie paused.
How did he know?
Had he been paying attention to her?
Oh, she knew it.
Capitalists were bad guys. He just wanted to wait for her to be late and then deduct her full attendance bonus.
No way!
"I was not late anyway." Natalie argued.
Kenneth frowned.
Natalie accused, "If I hadn't been too tired last night, I wouldn't have been late either."
"Huh." Hearing her complaint, Kenneth said with a sneer, "Don't you want to keep the marriage a secret? You broke the rule when you talked about the private affair in the company."
Natalie was rendered speechless.
Jerk!!!
Kenneth smiled slightly and said, "Well, I can't help it. I'm just too good at sex."
Natalie's eyes widened.
"Tell the heads of all departments to meet in the conference room." Kenneth put a document he had just read on his desk.
"Yes, sir." Natalie turned away.
She walked out of the office.
Natalie really didn't know what he meant. If he wanted to inform all departments to hold a meeting, he could just announce it directly in the working group.
Why did he have to call her to his office?
Natalie sat down, opened the working group, and began to inform others to attend the meeting.
Ten minutes later.
Everyone above the level of supervisor in the company arrived in the conference room.
"In order to expand the size of the company, we will acquire the Cliff Corporation next." Kenneth asked, "What do you think?"
Everyone began to express their opinions.
"The Cliff Corporation's production capacity has declined for three consecutive years, and the company has a serious deficit. If we acquire it at this time, it seems meaningless."
"I don't think so. Although the Cliff Corporation is old, it has a good foundation. If the acquisition is successful and the production line is updated, the production volume of the company can also be increased."
"But what about the deficit of the Cliff Corporation?"
Kenneth said, "The Cliff Corporation's deficit is not serious. We won't lose money if we acquire it when it still has value, but no one can be sure after a while."
"But the Cliff Corporation just got a new president."
Kenneth frowned.
Natalie handed Kenneth a document and whispered, "The new president of the Cliff Corporation is Antwan Walsh's granddaughter, Debra Walsh. She just graduated from the Department of Business Administration of the Greenville University. She seems to be ambitious and determined to make great achievements."
Kenneth took the file and had a look.
"It's normal for young people to be ambitious and energetic. But in a few days, she will find that ideals are nothing, and ideals can't make up the deficit in the company."
Someone laughed.
Natalie just frowned slightly.
"I am interested in the factory of the Cliff Corporation. That factory covers a very large area. Our Labyrinth Coms' factory needs a larger place. If we acquire the Cliff Corporation, that land will naturally belong to us." Kenneth looked indifferent, "After the meeting, you collect all the information immediately. I must see a feasible acquisition plan next week."
"Yes!"
The others stood up and left.
Natalie stood up and told Kenneth, "Mr. Hussain, you are going to have lunch with Mr. Evens."
"Hmm." Kenneth stood up and ordered, "Get the car ready."
"All right." Natalie immediately called the driver to drive to the gate.
When Natalie was about to put down her phone, she saw a stranger want to friend her on WhatsApp.
The other party's sent a remark, "Hello, Miss Lama! I'm Debra Walsh."
Oh, fine!
The news spread too fast.
"Mr. Hussain." Natalie followed Kenneth into the elevator and reported, "Just after the meeting, Miss Walsh sent me a friend application."
"I can't talk to her. I'll only talk to her grandfather about the acquisition."
"Yes, I see." So Natalie ignored Debra.
——
Kenneth and Jeffery Evens dined in a very splendid restaurant.
Natalie was with Kenneth.
And Jeffery also took two secretaries with him.
Natalie arranged this lunch.
All the dishes were carefully selected by her.
Jeffery looked at the table full of dishes and laughed. "Oh, Mr. Hussain, your secretary is really capable. This cream of mushroom soup is my favorite, but most people don't know it. It's very fresh. Mr. Hussain, you're so lucky to have such a good secretary."
Kenneth replied lightly, "This is her job."
Natalie said with a smile, "It's good that you like it, Mr. Evens. In fact, it's because Mr. Hussain ordered carefully, and I just did it."
"Miss Lama, don't be modest." Jeffery chuckled, "You are so beautiful and capable that I want you to work for me."
Natalie paused.
Kenneth's face became cold.
Without realizing the seriousness of the problem, Jeffery picked up his red wine glass and said, "Mr. Hussain, look at my two secretaries. They both graduated from famous universities. They just entered the society and have little experience. How about I send them to you to study hard?"
Kenneth looked at Jeffery coldly and asked, "Mr. Evens, are you willing?"
"It's nothing." Jeffery glanced at Natalie maliciously out of the corner of his eye and continued, "Mr. Hussain, men need the stimulation of new things to have inspiration. Your secretary has been working with you for more than two years, and you must have been tired of her. How about you let her work with me and I help you teach her. Maybe... Ah!"
Before Jeffery finished speaking, a glass of red wine poured head on.
Natalie didn't expect Kenneth to do this.
Seriously.
The profession of secretary was easy to be viewed through colored glasses.
No matter how excellent a female secretary was, the first thing others were concerned about was her appearance and figure.
Therefore, when female secretaries were ridiculed or touched sexually occasionally, they had to endure it in order not to lose their jobs.
They wouldn't say anything unless others went too far.
There was no such thing as a boss standing up for a secretary.
But Natalie didn't expect Kenneth to take action, and it was neatly done.
