Chapter 4
Dorothy ignored her, lifting her head from Michael's arms with an air of expectancy.
"Brother~"
Michael examined Dorothy with great care, concerned whether her desire for reconciliation stemmed from genuine goodwill or if she harbored hidden intentions.
After an extended gaze, observing the sincerity in Dorothy's eyes, he reassured his own thoughts.
"Mmm..."
"Brother, you are so kind!"
Dorothy felt elated, as she now had a pillar of support in the family.
"Hey Mia, when exactly did I go looking for someone? You always talk behind my back to Dad when I'm not around, right? So, can you tell me where I was last night??"
Mia did not expect Dorothy to retort and was slightly taken aback.
"Didn't you say you were going to meet your senior last night?"
Dorothy chuckled.
Last night, she went to the De Sky Club to find William James!
Although she found the wrong person...
"All I did last night was go to a bar for a few drinks, then changed my clothes after vomiting. How did you know I went to find that scumbag? Mia, you seem to know about my affairs better than I do?"
Mia forced a smile, somewhat at a loss for words.
"If Dorothy didn't show up, that's fine. I was just told by a friend that they spotted a girl who looked a lot like you last night."
Dorothy gave a cold snort.
"Mia, if you continue to spout nonsense in front of our father, don't blame me for being rude!"
Mia was taken aback, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Dorothy, I'm just worried about you, why are you being so harsh on me?"
Dorothy made a gagging gesture.
"Ugh~ Mia, can you please stop pretending? Don't you already know why I tried to commit suicide?"
Mia was taken aback, she hastily turned towards Michael.
"Didn't you chose to suicide because you was heartbroken over being rejected by the senior student you liked?"
Dorothy noticed that she was still playing dumb and prepared to play along.
"Yeah, do you have any idea why that senior student rejected me?"
"How would I know..."
Mia was starting to lose her confidence.
Dorothy laughed coldly.
"Of course you wouldn't know. Were you not parading around us every day, just to seduce people? Good for you. I am not interested in such second hand person. If you want it, you can have it."
Mia hastily waved her hands.
"No, I didn't seduce him, he found me on his own…but I refused him.”
Dorothy watched her continue to play the pitiful act, snorted coldly, then without saying another word, walked straight up to Mia.
Looking at Dorothy's chilly expression, Mia was frightened and took a step back.
"Dorothy..."
Rip—
Before Mia could finish her words, Dorothy reached out and ripped open the collar of Mia's clothing.
Mia was wearing a chiffon off-shoulder mini dress. After Dorothy's move, the collar fell straight to her breast.
"Ah—"
Michael squinted and glanced at the nervousness and shyness on Mia's face, without blinking, he moved his gaze away.
"Dorothy! No matter how much you detest me, I'm still your sister."
Dorothy stared at Mia's smooth neck for a while.
"I'm surprised that you kept it a secret so well? There's not even a single mark on your neck?"
"I don't understand what you're talking about! Dorothy, you ripped off my clothes in front of everyone, I'm going to tell dad!"
Upon saying this, Mia covered her neckline, crying and sobbing as she ran upstairs.
Dorothy tutted once before turning to face Michael.
"What were you just doing?"
Dorothy shrugged his shoulders.
"Couldn't you tell? I was searching for evidence. Evidence of her infidelity."
Michael snorted lightly, extended a hand to ruffle Dorothy's hair, a trace of gratification surfacing on his face.
"Have you grown up?"
