Chapter 2: Betrayed
Regina couldn't hold back her anger anymore and pushed open the door angrily. The two people on the bed look surprised but the surprise soon returns to rage.
"Did you forge my signature? So you have been cheating on me since all this while? And you mentioned something earlier. You have been feeding me with the pill that will damage my womb. Answer me!" She roared angrily. Her body shook uncontrollably and more tears flowed down her face. She even had snot running down her nose. She looks so pitiful and miserable. Her face was soaked with tears. No one would believe the charismatic Regina Jacob could cry like a baby like this.
"Forget what you heard. You can choose to believe it or not. And as you can see. We are in the middle of something so take your leave right now. I don't want to see you again." Greg yelled at her. He did not even feel any sense of guilt for what he did.
Regina's heart seems to be torn into thousands of pieces. Her heart ached so much. It was as if her heart was squeezed by an invincible force. She loves Greg so much and will do anything for him to make him happy. She has always been a good wife to him and will always support him no matter what. She even gave him some of her clients to make Greg happy. She also wants his company to grow even more. The truth is too shocking for her to accept. She loved and trusted Greg so much. But what did she get in the end? Betrayal. She got betrayed in the end.
"Are you deaf? I said you should get the hell out of my house. Pack your things and leave right now. I don't want to see you again. The person I love is this and not you. Let that sink into your skull and stop bugging for fucking sake." He yelled at her angrily.
Regina's feet seemed to be rooted to the grill and she didn't move. Nor did she talk. She only stood there while bawling her eyes out. Hot tears roll down her cheek. Each drip of tears makes her heart ache even more. It was as if her heart was pierced with thousands of needles.
Juliette lips curved upward slightly. She was enjoying the scene before her. She had always hated Regina from day one. How can a girl younger than her be this successful? At a young age. Regina is already the CEO of one of the biggest companies.
And most importantly. The girl is even more beautiful than her. She found it hard to take and has been looking for Regina's downfall since then. Now the right time has come.
"Regina or whatever your name is. Can you take your leave now? You are interrupting us." she had a sly smile dancing on her lips and her words were full of mockery.
Regina directed her gaze to Juliette when she heard what she said. She widened her eyes in shock when she saw Juliette's face. She didn't spare her a glance when she entered earlier and only focused on Greg. She remembered her secretary, Wanda. He was telling her once that Juliette was married to one of the richest men in the city.
"You." She pointed her index finger at Juliette with shock written all over her face. She then directed her gaze to Greg "Greg, this lady is married right? You are cheating on me with a married woman? How can you do this." She yelled angrily. Her body trembled in anger "And what about my company? What is going on? Can you please explain what is going on to me? Don't just stay on the bed. Give me an answer right now."
Juliette grabbed the duvet and wrapped it around her body, leaving Greg completely naked. She walked over to Regina with a poker face "I told you to leave since you are interrupting us. But since you choose to be stubborn. I will have to close the door "She flashed Regina a mocking smile and slammed the door shut.
Thankfully. Regina was quick to move her head backward. The door would have slammed on her face.
She dipped her hand into her bag and took out a handkerchief. She wiped away her tears and left the place. She knew she needed to clear her head first. No wonder he did not pick up her calls. Turn out he was fooling around with a married woman. More tears flowed down her face as she remembered the position she met earlier. The two were cuddling each other under the duvet. What angered her even more was that the bastard did not even feel remorseful for what he did. He didn't feel guilty at all. They make her look like the culprit while they are the victim instead. And did he say she's now infertile? How come? No, he must probably be lying. They have both done a series of tests and the doctor said nothing is wrong with the two of them. If something is wrong with her womb. The doctor would have said so right? Yeah, he would have said so. She has nowhere to go now. Her company is gone. Her marriage is gone. Even her happiness is gone. She was now left with nothing. This is the true definition of from grace to grace. She spent years building the company. She built the company with her sweat and blood. Now her company had fallen into the hands of someone else. Her heart ached so much.
Her phone started ringing in her bag. She parked by the roadside so she could answer the call. She sniffed her nose and wiped away her tears. She fished out her phone and saw the person who was calling her was none other than her best friend. Rose.
"Hey, Rose." She said as she answered the call. She tried to sound as normal as possible since she didn't want the girl to notice anything.
"What is wrong with you," Rose questioned when she sensed how Regina's voice trembled.
"No. Nothing is wrong. Why do you call though?"
"I heard the news. Is it true that you sold the company to your useless husband? How can you foolishly sell the company to him." Rose barked over the phone. She has never liked Greg for once. And whenever she calls him useless or insults him. Regina always gets mad at her.
"Do you think I will decide to sell the company all of a sudden?" She said and couldn't hold back her tears this time "Am I in need of money? Why will I sell it?" She said amidst her tears.
"Are you crying?" Rose asked worriedly but Regina did not reply. She tried her best not to make a sound.
"Oh, you are indeed crying. Have you confronted that base- sorry, Greg. Have you confronted him about it? Since the news said you sold the company to him. He should be able to answer this." She half yelled.
"I will talk about it later. I don't want to talk about it now. Can you let me stay at your place for some time?"
