CHAPTER 98 HALLOWEEN HAUNTS

The smell of turkey and pie being baked were strongly felt throughout the house as if the home was enveloped in the warmth of the fire burning in the sitting room. It was Thanksgiving and Jenna could not have been happier; she flitted around the kitchen with the energy of a woman possessed yet despite the busy days work. There was a white coating on her apron … shows that she has been in the kitchen preparing foods, most probably since morning. Ryan was at the counter preparing the last of the vegetables for the side dishes. Children, Lily and Jack were on the living room laughing as they played a make-believe game with dog dragging of hide and seek. The holiday had given Jenna the feeling of happiness and unity she had been longing for in the past weeks.
