Intelligent and kind Jenna starts a relationship with a spoiled black sheep, Ryan, from her school. They part ways, but after some time they meet again, they discover that they have many things in common, and they end up being lovers. However, Jenna’s friends and family do not approve of this choice, and so she has to decide whether to continue living as before or with the boy who makes her feel alive.
