Chapter 45 The Basketball Girl

Carolyn "Hi, Brenda." I called out as I walked to school the next day and saw her. She turned and went stiff when she realized that I was the one who had called out to her. I frowned, wondering what was wrong with her. It had been long I had seen her in school and I was starting to wonder if she was fine. It didn't help that we didn't have classes together or I would have found out about her earlier. "Good morning, Amelia." She said as I walked towards where she was. "Good morning." I replied. "It's been long I saw you in school. Have you been around?" "Yes, I've been." She replied. "I've just not been to your classes as I used to." "You don't have to apologize. I've also not been to the cafeteria recently or I would have seen you. I just wanted to know that you are alright." She smiled. "Thanks for your concern." "Thank you as well for the cookies the other day. I haven't been able to thank you after that day." I said to her, even though I didn't eat the cookies. She winced.
