CHAPTER 17 HANGING IN THE BALANCE

Surprised at the sudden change in her body system, Samantha’s hand flew instinctively to her mouth as she tried to hold back her vomit." Are you okay, ma'am?" The head cook was asking, but Samantha was already rushing to the nearest toilet. Once she got there, she immediately emptied her stomach, suddenly feeling ten times weaker than she had ever felt in all her life. She stared at herself in the mirror as she leaned on the toilet zinc, and that's when the realization sunk in. "No, no." She muttered to herself whilst shaking her head. She couldn't be pregnant. She hoped she wasn't. What would happen if she were? She wasn't ready for a child right now. She had been constantly taking her birth control pills, so how did this happen? She shook her head, trying to calm down. Nothing had been ascertained yet. She would go to the hospital immediately, to be certain. She quickly completed everything she had to do to be ready before instructing the driver to drive her to the nearest hosp
