Chapter 225 A Living Nightmare
Two doors stood in front of them, but neither offered a way out. One led to an empty room. The other was teeming with venomous insects.
“Ivy, take a rest for a while,” Tristan said gently, placing Ivy next to Nova, who was still unconscious. Ivy tried to stay brave, but her worried eyes kept darting Nova.
Tristan couldn’t rest, though. Finding Ivy had given him a glimmer of hope, but now he needed to find a way out of this nightmare.
He searched every inch of the room, even pushing against the ceiling, hoping for a hidden door or an escape tunnel. Nothing.
The walls were solid, the ceiling unmovable. Frustration gnawed at him, and the mounting pressure was unbearable.
Just when Tristan was about to lose hope, a deep, rumbling sound came from above. He looked up. A small hole was being drilled through the ceiling, letting in a thin shaft of light.
Peering through the hole was a familiar face.
“Lionel?!”
Relief hit Tristan like a tidal wave. They were saved.
“Finally found you!”
