"She'll be up and about by tomorrow," Stacey told Madam Green, locking eyes with her. "Did you get what I asked for?"
Madam Green met her stare with a cold, hard look. "You'll get what you want when Delaney's back on her feet."
"Sounds good to me," Stacey said, pulling her hand back. She flashed her phone and grinned, "I've been recording, you know."
Madam Green didn't say anything.
"Since you paid a visit to the Burton family," Stacey went on, her smile hinting at something more. "If you break your promise, Madam Green, I'll leak these recordings. The Green family's reputation will get even worse, and you'll lose any chance of making allies."
Madam Green just laughed. "Phoenix, you're still as cunning as ever, even after all these years."
"I'm not Phoenix," Stacey reminded her, sounding both amused and annoyed. "How many times do I have to tell you, Madam Green?"
