She felt her temper rising, the frustration that had been building for days finally bubbling to the surface. They didn’t understand. None of them did. They hadn’t been there in the heat of battle; they hadn’t seen the lengths to which the Coalition was willing to go to crush them. They hadn’t seen the faces of their dead.
“I did it for the pack!” she snapped, her voice louder than she intended. “For all of you! You sit here and criticize me, but I was the one out there fighting, risking my life while you hid behind your walls. I had to make hard decisions because no one else had the guts to!”
