When Tyler entered the hotel room, Layla, who had been waiting inside, immediately stood up from the couch. She watched him as he approached.
Tyler walked directly up to her, but before he could speak, Layla broke the silence. "You're finally here. I thought I'd be waiting here all night for you." There was a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
Tyler simply replied, "I had things to do." That was the only explanation he offered for his delayed arrival.
Layla, however, wasn't satisfied. "This isn't like you, Mr. Tyler," she remarked.
Uninterested in her sarcasm, Tyler got straight to the point, "She hasn't returned yet, right?"
Layla responded frankly, "It's already night. If she was coming back, she would've returned by now. And it's not just today; she's been missing for days."
Tyler listened, a slight frown forming on his face. After contemplating for a moment, he asked, "Are you sure you've checked everywhere?"
