Just like that, Jacob waited for three long days. But Penelope never returned to him. In fact, Michael's investigation made Jacob feel even more uneasy. Apparently, Penelope had already deregistered all identification documents in Clairvon. Not only that, but she had also cleared everything on her Twitter account. Penelope had recorded every single memory and moment that was accumulated from their eight-year journey together. Those memories were her most cherished things ever. She must have gone into hiding out of anger toward him just so she could scare him into thinking that she was gone. He rushed home immediately.
