Jasmine paced the dimly lit office of Cesaro's Bistro, her heels clicking against the hardwood floor. The night outside was quiet, but her mind raced with suspicion and betrayal. She stopped abruptly as the door opened, and Carla stepped in, a look of confusion on her face.
"You wanted to see me, Ms. Delacroix?" Carla asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Jasmine turned, her eyes narrowing. "Yes, Carla. Please, have a seat."
Carla sat down nervously, smoothing her apron. Jasmine remained standing, towering over her.
"Is everything alright?" Carla ventured.
Jasmine's voice was cold as ice. "No, Carla. Everything is not alright. I know what you've been doing."
Carla's eyes widened. "I... I don't understand."
"Don't play dumb with me," Jasmine snapped. "I know you've been feeding information to the Moretti family. How long has this been going on?"
Carla's face drained of color. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out.
